Frequently Asked Questions

La Pianore is located in the heart of Italy’s Tuscany region, an area rich in culture, landscape and food. The easiest plan is to fly to Florence, Rome, Bologna or Milan and then a train or bus to Siena, where you will be picked up and shuttled to the retreat center. Train and bus service is easy from all major airports.

Please register for the retreat first prior to booking your flight to ensure space in the retreat. We will let you know when we meet the minimum number of participants to hold the retreat.

There are several types of accommodations to choose from at Le Pianore. Each one is uniquely designed for warmth and comfort. Pricing below is all-inclusive with meals, accommodations and the 7-day retreat. There is a limited quantity of each accommodation type, please register early to ensure your preference. If you are traveling with a friend or partner and would like to share a room with them please let us know when you register. If you are traveling alone and would like double, triple or quad accommodations, we will be happy to match you with someone on a space availability basis. Le Pianore’s policy is that if you are registered for double, triple or quad accommodations and we are not able to match you with a roommate, you will be charged based on the number of people in the room. Please register early to increase your likelihood of a match!

Incredibly delicious – everything you’d expect and more in Tuscany. Le Pianore is a place for all seasons and this is reflected in the kitchen. They use seasonal produce grown in organic vegetable gardens, along with locally sourced, organic goods wherever possible. Meals are mostly vegetarian with some meat entrees at dinner, all imbued with the long loved art of Italian cooking. For our farewell dinner, we are treated to an endless stream of pizzas!

Yes, we have deliberately created a spacious schedule that allows ample time to rest or to enjoy massage services in between retreat sessions. We have included a full day trip where you have the choice to go on a group trip to charming villages and a local Abbey or you can utilize this time to enjoy the magnificent property at Le Pianore.

Le Pianore has on-site therapeutic services including Shiatsu and Ayurvedic massage. Instructions on booking in advance can be found in the welcome packet.

A retreat offers you a precious opportunity to slow down and tune in to the rhythms of the natural environment and it is important to strike the right balance between stimulation and quiet reflection.

Absolutely! You are traveling a long distance so now is the time to consider if you want to extend your trip. Some favorite destinations in Italy are Milan, Siena, Florence, Rome, Venice, Cinque Terre and the Amalfi coastline.

You will receive a detailed welcome email from the facilitators after registering with a downloadable PDF document of recommended items to bring, passport information, air travel recommendations and more.

Yes. Breath, Body & Sound is NCBMTB Approved and massage therapists will receive 21 CE hours. You will receive a certificate of completion at the end of the retreat electronically to submit to your state licensing board or for recertification with the NCBTMB.

Yes. Once you register, we will send you an electronic invoice that gives you the option to set up your own payment plan. An additional $500 non-refundable deposit is due on April 5, 2024. If you register after April 2024, a $1000 deposit is due at time of registration. All payments must be complete by July 5, 2024.

We are happy to hear that you are joining us! You can hold your place in the retreat with a $500 non-refundable deposit per person. A second $500 deposit will be due on April 5, 2024. Your final balance will be on July 5, 2024. Simply click on the blue “Register Now” button below to reserve your place in the retreat. As soon as we receive your deposit, you will receive a confirmation email with more details about the retreat and planning your travel.
